Jiffy Lube SUUUUUUUUCKS!!!!!!!!!

This store is probably the worse customer service orientated location I have ever been at. I rolled in and was behind 2 cars at 2:30pm. I finally left the place at 4:30 after watching the employees shut down the store right after I arrived because they "hadn't had a break all day". It seems that if they could live up to the “jiffy” part of the business name, they would have been able to keep the store open and customers happy. I watched 3 people come in and ask for an oil change and each time the person behind the counter gave them a different excuse as to why they were shut down in the middle of a workday. Once it was due to the computer, once it was due to the oil bin being full and one guy got the real reason, "we need a lunch break". Two of those folks said they had been here before in the middle of the day and it was closed then too…

The fiasco continued as I was trying to pay. The oily fingered smelly worker munching on a half eaten corn dog somehow locked up the “cashier” computer while I was trying to finally pay and leave. My credit card was passed thru the machine 5 or 6 times while the screen was locked. 10 minutes later I was walking him thru how to restart the whole computer. A customer….showing the guy how to restart the cashier station….So after it booted back up, he tried to run my card thru again and this time the cashier station said my card was declined. We did this twice. Declined both times. Afterthought, I figured there was some other process that had to run to make the cashier station recognize the credit card swipe or something…anyway, after all the hassle of a simple oil change, and just to get out of there, I wrote a check. And not once was I offered the $3 donation for membership to the special club getting me a $7 dollar discount, but I figured I would just try to end this bad experience and cut my losses hoping that I at least got a professional oil change.

Today, I look at my bank account and lo and behold the $52 charge for the "service" was on my account taken thru the credit card. So now Jiffy Lube not only has my $52 from my card but also a check for the same amount. I'm going to call the store this morning and try to explain what happened, but after this experience, I'm not too sure anyone will even understand what I'm talking about.

Needless to say, I will be doing my own oil changes from now on.

And maybe it was my screwup, but I thought I looked in the store finder part of this site for zip 98045 (North Bend?) and it didn't return any store. I looked on the map and zoomed around where the place is, but it wasn't there...hey, maybe this was just a bad dream and there really isn't a store there....
